Search engine marketing
When we design any new site, we will investigate the most appropriate keywords for the page content that you provide. After agreement with you, we’ll incorporate those keywords into the title tag and meta area of the pages. This will help the search engines understand what each page is about and provide some initial traffic for your new site. Traffic levels can then be improved by a sustained program of search engine optimisation, which we are happy to provide a quotation for – please ask. Sitemaps, robots.txt and website statistics
We’ll generate a sitemap for any new site we design; sitemaps ensure search engines understand which are the most important pages of your website and help with indexing. You can submit this sitemap through your Google Webmaster Tools account after helping us with site verification.
In addition, we’ll set up a robots.txt file, to tell the various search engine spiders not to crawl or index certain sections or pages of your site (such as CMS administration areas). We’ll also add tracking code for Google Analytics if it is provided by you.
