 Optimisation terms and conditions
These terms supplement our standard
terms and conditions.
Project Management and Content Control
The Customer should delegate a single individual as 'first-point-of-call'
to aid Internetbuff with progressing the commission
in a satisfactory and expedient manner.
During the project, Internetbuff may require
the Customer to provide copy and images relating to a
specific product or service.
Internetbuff may recommend certain modifications
to the design or content of the Customer's web site in
order to improve the position of the web site in the search engines.
The Customer will promptly permit or arrange those changes.
Alterations to the Customer's website by the Customer or
a third party must be reviewed and authorised by Internetbuff prior
to upload.
Undesirable Actions
Internetbuff may cancel a commission immediately
and without refund should it be discovered that the Customer has
participated in actions considered undesirable (spamming) by the
search engines, such as
- makes use of hidden links
- links to link-farms, FFA link pages, etc.
- uses page redirect or cloaking techniques
- submits the web pages of the site to the search engines, search
directories or other websites without the consent of Internetbuff
- uses automated web site submission software or websites
- uses automated reciprocal link programs
- participates in sending bulk spam emails
Hosting
The Customer agrees that their website is not hosted
on free webspace using domain forwarding (either framed or otherwise).
In cases where there is either concern that the current hosting
IP address may be part of a 'bad neighbourhood' or for reasons
of optimisation, Internetbuff may request the
client to change hosting provider.
3rd Party Fees
Internetbuff will make the Customer aware
of the fees relating to express and directory submissions in the
project quotation. These fees are payable fully in advance or may
require the client to provide credit card details for Internetbuff to
submit on their behalf.
3rd party fees that are renewable on a 6 monthly or annual basis,
will be declared to the Customer in the quotation document.
You should make yourself aware of the terms and conditions laid
down by the express or directory submission 3rd parties, and where
relevant the nature of the non-refundable submission fee system
provided by Yahoo directory.
